Donyell Malen move to BVB imminent – €5m apart in valuation

PSV Eindhoven director John De Jong says that Donyell Malen is on a leave of absence to talk to interested clubs.

Anfield Central exclusively reported on Wednesday morning that BVB has agreed on personal terms with Malen.

If an agreement is reached with Dortmund over his transfer fee, he will earn a wage in the region of €100,000 per week.

German magazine Sport Bild confirms what Anfield Central was told, claiming that Malen moving to the Westfalenstadion is now imminent.

Transfermarkt covers the report which appears in the print edition of the magazine and suggests that the two clubs are just €5m apart in valuation.

Sport Bild claim that PSV Eindhoven want €30m for Malen which aligns with what Anfield Central reported exclusively previously.

PSV technical director John de Jong told Voetbal International that Malen is on a leave of absence to talk to other clubs.

“Mino Raiola, who is their agent, is keeping us up-to-date,” de Jong said.

“They know what we want and we have given the players the freedom to talk to other clubs. Should they find an agreement then those clubs will have to approach us. We have not received an official offer but that can change quickly.”

Liverpool are not the only other side after Malen with Anfield Central reporting that Lyon are interested in the Dutchman but Dortmund are close to reaching an agreement with the Eredivisie outfit.
